The election of the NGO of the month of May is dedicated to animals, we want to offer greater visibility and support to the animal protection association Salvando Peludos, offering the possibility that, when you go to finish your order, you can contribute a small economic help to keep saving lives.
Salvando Peludos is an animal protector that emerged in 2013 , located in Villamanta , Madrid, a space of respect and fight for animals .
Since its foundation, they have saved more than 1,200 street animals, municipal kennels, from situations of abandonment and mistreatment . Thanks to the help of people who trust them and decide to give their furry ones a better future. It is a very active protector and they are in constant movement to get donations to cover all the expenses that the animals require, they carry out events such as markets, talks, specials or digital campaigns.
They are currently caring for more than 300 animals including dogs, cats and exotics.
Dogs
Today, more than 1,000 lives have been saved. They began exclusively rescuing dogs, also forced by the initial facilities. They have been and are one of the main drivers of this association.

For a year and a few months, they moved to larger and better equipped facilities, it was then that they were able to start giving these cats a second chance.
exotics
The species are very varied, from rabbits and guinea pigs to rats, pogonas and snakes. In short, all kinds of pets that are in danger. They have already exceeded one hundred adoptions and rescues.
Sanctuary
This project began in June 2016 because they were already rescuing animals considered farm animals and needed to lay the foundations. Since then they have rescued more than 60 animals of many species: chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys... from situations of abuse, abandonment or mistreatment. In this case, these animals are not up for adoption.
What do they need to raise the money for?
They need the installation of electrical supply for the health area (operating room and infirmary) and for the cat area, both currently without a stable electrical supply , in this way to be able to continue saving lives in their operating theaters and welcome the cats that need it. They choose to install solar panels due to the low cost of the periodic payment of consumption.
This project affects the well-being of all the animals that pass through its facilities.
